Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use CalcBudget, including our calculator disclaimer.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of CalcBudget.com ("the site", "we", "us"), which is owned and operated by The AI Barn, 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Calculator disclaimer

The results produced by CalcBudget calculators are estimates only. They are not financial, tax, mortgage, legal or investment advice, and they are not a recommendation to take, or not take, any course of action.

  • Calculators use simplified formulas and the assumptions described on each page and on our methodology page. They do not take account of your full personal circumstances.
  • Tax and property calculators are based on the rules for the tax year stated on the page. Rates, thresholds and reliefs can change, and your own position may differ because of your tax code, where you live, your ownership history and other factors.
  • Loan, savings and interest calculators show illustrations based on the figures you enter. Real products include fees, charges and terms that a calculator cannot reflect.
  • A calculator result is not an official HMRC calculation, a lender's illustration, a solicitor's completion statement or a payslip.

Before making a financial decision, check the figures with official sources such as GOV.UK and HMRC, with your lender or provider, or with a qualified, regulated professional. CalcBudget is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and does not provide regulated financial advice.

3. Guides and other content

Our guides explain money topics in general terms for educational purposes. We aim to keep them accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current or suitable for your situation. If you spot an error, please tell us; see our corrections policy.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site, its calculators or its content, including any financial loss, loss of profit or loss of opportunity resulting from decisions made using a calculator result. This applies whether the claim arises in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Privacy

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page with an updated date.

11. Governing law
